All services provided by Rompetrol Quality Control are in compliance with the SR EN ISO/CEI 17025:2005 standard. The accreditation procedure is ensured by the Accreditation Association in Romania – RENAR, the only national body internationally recognized as signatory of the Multilateral Recognition Protocols with I.L.A.C. – International Laboratory Accreditation Convention, E.A. – European Cooperation for Accreditation and I.A.F. – International Accreditation Forum.
The accreditation certificate recognizes the laboratory’s competency for analytical work in the areas of:
- Physical and chemical tests and analyzes for liquid, gaseous and solid petroleum products;
- Physical and chemical analyzes for water and soil;
- Chemical and physical emissions analysis from the air
- Explosive mixture and oxygen analyses
The petroleum products laboratory within RQC is recognized by the Ministry of Economy regarding its competence and capability of sampling gasoline and diesel fuel, as well as for performing tests to determine the parameters of technical specifications, stipulated in Government Decision no. 689/2004 on the establishment of the conditions for placing gasoline and diesel on the market.
Authorization from the State Inspection for Control of Boilers, Pressure Vessels and Hoisting (ISCIR) for analyzing boiler water.
National Institute of Mining Security and Anti-Explosive Protection INSEMEX has been certified RQ toxicology laboratory with the competence certificate for the personnel with responsibilities regarding the technical equipment and the installations from the industrial areas with danger of explosive atmospheres
The physiochemical emissions for workplaces determined by the toxicology laboratory are carried out in accordance with the Certificate for proceeding professional emissions determinations, issued by the Ministry of Health – Directorate for Public Health and Public Health Control.
In order to analyze the drinking water, the laboratory holds a Certificate of Registration for laboratories performing the quality monitoring of the drinking water, certified by the Ministry of Health, Department of Public Health and Control in Public Health.
Recognition from the Ministry of Economy, Commerce and Business Environment for the integration of the Petroleum Products Laboratory as an active part (testing laboratory) within the “National Gas and Diesel Monitoring Program”, initiated by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce and monitored by Intertek Caleb Brett (Netherlands) since 2005.
ROMANIAN AUTOMOTIVE REGISTER. By accreditation according to SR EN ISO/CEI 17025:2005 and testing according to the requirements of the legislation in force, the Petroleum Products Laboratory contributed to the certification of fuels produced both by Rompetrol Rafinare and by other manufacturers.
CLASS II LABORATORY AUTHORIZATIONS – Vega Ploiesti Petroleum Product Laboratory, issued by the State Inspectorate in Constructions – Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration for carrying out laboratory tests for road materials.
The integrated quality – environment – labor safety system is implemented in the laboratories, according to ISO 9001:2015 – Quality management system, ISO 14001:2015 – Environmental management system, ISO 18001:2007 – Health and occupational safety management system.
At the same time, in order to increase the quality of our services, our laboratories proceed both internal quality checks and external verifications by participating in various interlaboratory tests at national and international level. Continuous efforts to improve quality are confirmed by the outstanding results – excellence certifications – obtained through these participations:
- CALITAX (Spain), South-Eastern European Interlaboratory Study “Water Analysis” (Serbia and Montenegro), LGC Standards (UK), IELAB (Spain) for water, air and soil analysis;
- InterTek Caleb Brett (Netherlands), Institute for Interlaboratory Studies (Netherlands) and British Petroleum Laboratories - Air BP (Great Britain) – for petroleum products analysis.
- ASTM International USA – for polymer analysis.
